Learning Fair Project

Students in Grades 5-8 are expected to display a learning project-that is an exhibit that informs the views about research they have completed on a subject of their choice.
Where will you work on the project?

Some work can be at school but most work will be completed at home.

You will need to use the library and the internet to gather your facts.
3. Computers at school will be made available for students who need access and do not have it available.

A Process Paper
A process paper is a description explaining how you conducted your research and how your project was developed and created.
1. Please include a title page. The title page must include the full title of your project, your name,
and the date of the Learning Fair.
2. Please explain how you chose your topic.
3. How did you conduct the research for your project.
4. What did you do to create your project?
You may pick either a science, literature, history,social studies, or music project
Science Projects
1. Start with a question.
2. Answer the question as best you can (hypothesis).
3. Conduct the experiment.
4. Observe and record data.
5. Write the conclusion.
6. Add a bibliography the cites your sources. You may use the citation maker at

An Exhibit Board
An Exhibit Board that will display the informatin and visual images about the topic.
1. An exhibit board is a three panel display board that can be purchased at any school or office supply story. The
board is provided by your parents.
2. The exhibit should tell the story of the project and read from left to right.
3. Headings can be handcrafted or computer generated using large-size fonts.
4. Report pages and captians must be computer generated.
5. A minimun of 24 point font should be used in a dark color that is easy to read from a distance.
6. Sources of Information should be listed at the bottom of report pages and captions.
